The Fast Reactor Research Group has recently started as a new research focus within the Nuclear & Radiological Engineering program of Georgia Tech. The FRRG's main objective is to minimize the long-term environmental impact of nuclear energy by closing the nuclear fuel cycle. The FRRG researches the nuclear fuel cycle, and designs and studies the reactors to obtain the goal of a closed nuclear fuel cycle.
